  • 1〔向こうを見えなくする〕obstruct; छेल्नु ; छेक्नु ;
    • 光を遮る block (off) the light; घाम छेक्नु
    • カーテンでドアを遮る cover the door by the cutains; पर्दाले ढोका छेक्नु (/ छेल्नु)
    • 土砂降りが景色を遮った The rain blotted out the view. वर्षाले दृश्यलाई छोप्यो ।
    • あの看板が景色を遮る That billboards spoil the view. त्यो साइनबोर्डले दृश्यलाई छेक्छ ।
    • 景色が遮られた The view was obstructed. दृश्य छल्यो (/ छेक्यो) ।
    • 厚い雲に視野が遮られた Our view was blocked by thick clouds. बाक्लो बादलले हाम्रो दृष्टि छेकेको थियो ।
  • 2〔物の動き／行動を邪魔する〕cut off; block; बाधा दिनु ; रोक्नु ; पथरोध गर्नु ;〔人の言動を〕interrupt; (कुरा) काट्नु ; खण्डन गर्नु ;
    • 私達の道を遮った He cut across our path. उसले हाम्रो बाटो छेक्यो ।
    • 壁が道路の騒音を遮った The walls baffled the street noises. भित्ताहरूले बाटाका हल्ला रोके ।
    • 途中で話を遮る interrupt (/ break into) a conversation; बीचमा कुरा काट्नु
