    • そこに着くや否や彼は帰ってしまった As soon as he got there, he went back. त्यहाँ पुगेर ऊ लगत्तै (/ उत्तिखेरै / तत्कालै / तुरुन्तै) फर्कियो ।
    • 彼の支配が始まるや否や敵は放逐された Shortly after his rule began, the enemies were hurled down. उहाँको शासन शुरु गरेलगत्तै शत्रुहरू फ्याँकिए ।
    • 食べるや否や走った He ran as soon as he ate. खानेबित्तिकै उनी दौडिए ।
    • 先生が来たのを見るや否や逃げた He ran away (/ cleared of) as soon as he saw his teacher coming.; No sooner had he caught sight of his teacher than he ran away. उसको शिक्षक आएको देख्नासाथ ऊ भाग्यो ।
    • 彼は尋ねられるや否や直ぐに答えた The moment he was asked a question, he answered. उसले प्रश्न भुइँमा खस्न नपाउँदै जवाफ दियो ।
    • 穴の底に達するや否やライオンが骨ごと食べた Even before they reach the bottom of the pit, the lions grab them and break all their bones. खोरको मुखमा पुग्दा नपुग्दै सिंहहरूले हड्डीहरूसमेत खाइहाले ।
    • 彼女は彼を見るや否や急いでロバから降りた When she caught sight of him, she at once hastened and got down off the ass. जब तिनले उनलाई देखिन् तब तिनी हतार–हतार आफ्नौ गधाबाट ओर्लिन् ।
